Process

Every piece begins as a problem.

A silhouette that does not yet exist. A construction question without an answer. The design phase is not about sketching a finished object — it is about finding the logic that makes the object possible.

We do not work from patterns borrowed from elsewhere. Each piece is drafted from scratch, on the body, in the material. The first toile is never the last.

Materials

Fabric is selected before the design is finalized. The material informs the construction — not the other way around. We work primarily with dense weaves, waxed cloths, raw denims, and heavy jerseys. Materials that have memory. That hold a shape. That change with use.

We do not work with materials we cannot stand behind. If a fabric does not behave the way we need it to, we find one that does.

Construction

Everything is assembled by hand. Seams are finished individually. Hardware is sourced and fitted piece by piece. There is no step in the process that is delegated.

This is not a marketing position. It is a practical constraint — and the reason the work is what it is.

Timing

Production begins when an order is confirmed and payment received. From that point, a piece takes between three and five weeks to complete. Sometimes longer, depending on construction complexity and current order volume.

We do not rush. A piece that is not right does not leave.

You will receive a shipping notification when your order is dispatched. If you have questions about your order’s status at any point, contact us directly.

Made to Order

Nothing in the CRP.001 catalogue exists before it is ordered. There is no warehouse. There is no stock.

This is intentional. It means every piece made is a piece that was asked for. Nothing is produced speculatively. Nothing goes to waste.

It also means we cannot accept returns — a piece made for a specific order has no second destination.
